The Atharvaveda (Sanskrit: अथर्ववेदः, atharvaveda, a tatpurusha compound of atharvan, an ancient Rishi, and veda (meaning "knowledge") is a sacred text of Hinduism, and one of the four Vedas, often called the "fourth Veda"/5. The Atharvaveda is also occasionally referred to as Bhrgvangirasah and Brahmavedaafter Bhrigu and Brahma respectively. The Atharvaveda is a collection of 20 books, with a total of telugy of about 6, stanzas. Most of the hymns are poetic and set to different meters, but about a sixth of the book is vedma.
